David Ostli is a fine artist whose medium is primarily wood. His vast experience in a multitude of wood working disciplines and related fields has resulted in a keen eye for shape and proportion. This allows him to turn a vision into measured drawings and ultimately a finished piece.

David has long been an admirer of early tools and traditions. He has created his own wood turning chisels employing long forgotten techniques.

He sees in each log and board its potential and feels a spiritual connection with everything he works on. His love of nature is often reflected in his work.

Artists from other disciplines have been inspired by his work and have collaborated with him on different projects. In addition to wood he has created beautiful pieces in other materials, such as wrought iron.

He is always creating and looking for new and interesting projects.
